heretic and madman

Heretic and madman. That's what I am. So I've been told, anyway. Repeatedly. Some puzzle, some rejoice, some worry as they bring forth the news. It's all in good fun, but I cannot help detecting the reflection of burning stakes in some eyes.

The stakes are high, I see. But please don't be concerned about my soul. I don't endorse the mischievious delight I feel while righteous passion burns within me. I say this as a clearheaded, traditional guy. Oh, and here's another piece of good news for you and me: I don't believe in the soul, either.
